The kitchen corner a turnover skips
A between-guests clean wipes the hob and the visible worktops - that’s all the checkout-to-check-in window allows. What it never reaches is the grease bonded to the oven door glass, the film baked onto the extractor filters, the oil behind the hob gone amber over a season. Run enough turnovers and that build-up stops wiping off. It has to be dissolved and scraped.
Book it as an add-on on a regular turnover, or standalone when the kitchen is dragging the listing down. You send a photo, we send a quote, and the work runs in a quiet window - not the 15:00 rush to flip the flat.
How Cyprus kitchens get greasy faster than they should
The climate does the work for the grease. Sea air along the Protaras and Ayia Napa coast leaves a salt-and-humidity layer that catches cooking oil and holds it - so a kitchen 200 metres from the water builds a stickier film than one in Nicosia, with the same meals cooked. Self-catering guests run the oven and the air fryer hard every night, and a Larnaca flat near Finikoudes or a Limassol marina pad both collect baked-on fat around the extractor that a wipe moves but never lifts.
Then there’s the empty property: a kitchen unused through a shoulder-season month gathers dust stuck to old grease, and the first guest opens the oven to a smell. We’ve pulled limescale-crusted hobs in Nicosia hard-water flats and carbon-caked oven bases in Ayia Napa group villas. Same job, different cause - we start from what’s in front of us.
What the work looks like in your kitchen
The scope runs from the inside of the oven outwards. Racks come out and soak, the door glass gets degreased layer by layer, the base is scraped to bare enamel. The hob - induction, ceramic, gas - is descaled and polished, not just wiped around. The extractor hood opens up: the mesh and paper grease filters come out and are cleaned, or flagged for you to replace if they’re past it. Then the detail around it - the tile splashback degreased, the gap behind and under the hob cleared, the top of the wall units, the inside of the microwave, and the cabinet fronts at handle height.
We finish with the floor - washed, not pushed around - then photos on WhatsApp. The same proof you get after a turnover, just closer up on the spots that mattered.
Linen, towels, and what we don’t supply
Bedsheets and towels: we change them when clean replacements are already at the property - we don’t supply the items ourselves. If the kitchen detail is part of a turnover and the linen’s been left in the washer, or a stale set sits in the cupboard, we photograph it and flag it before touching anything.
What it costs, in plain terms
The kitchen detail runs as an add-on on a turnover - small apartments usually start from about €45 for the base clean, with the deep work added for size and how heavy the grease is - or as a standalone job. The figure moves with the city, access, and how long since the last detail. A standalone oven clean alone is the lowest entry point. Send a photo of the oven interior and the hob, plus the area, and we’ll reply with a clear number on WhatsApp before anyone turns up.
Same-day, when the diary genuinely allows it
Same-day cover on request when our diary allows. A full oven and kitchen detail needs a few quiet hours, so it suits a place that’s empty for the day, not the gap between an 11:00 checkout and a 15:00 check-in. If a guest left the kitchen in a state and the next arrival is hours away, send a photo and we’ll tell you straight whether we can fit it.
One crew, the whole south coast and the capital
Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras, and Paralimni - one WhatsApp thread whether you host in one city or all six, and the same photo proof after every job. Send the locations and a photo of the worst spot, and we’ll confirm what we can cover and when.
